Objectives of the Cell :

• The committee may be responsible for establishing an Institute Innovation Council within the college to streamline IIC initiatives.
• IICs are responsible for creating a vibrant ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship within the college, encouraging students and faculty to develop new ideas and explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
• IICs organize workshops, seminars, hackathons, and other activities focused on innovation, IPR, and entrepreneurship, often with industry involvement.
• To establish mentor pools for student innovators, network with other IICs and entrepreneurship development organizations, and facilitate connections with entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals.
• IICs help mobilize resources, including funding, facilities, and expertise, to support innovation initiatives.
• To assist in identifying, protecting, and commercializing innovations, potentially through technology transfer or startup creation such as Startup TN.
• IICs are responsible for monitoring IIC activities, submitting progress reports on the IIC portal, and ensuring effective implementation of activities.
• IICs foster collaboration within the institute, with other institutions, and with industry partners to support innovation and entrepreneurship.
• To build a critical mass of motivated students and faculty with creative potential and entrepreneurial skills.
• IICs can work with incubation centre to provide support to entrepreneurs in the initial stages of their ventures.
